The desert all around me, dust burning my eyes
Coyotes howl at the moon, they smell death in the air
Blood in the sand, my life is almost over
That edge keeps getting closer, I can feel it creeping in
I am falling now
I am breaking down
The fear is gone, I must go on
I will wrap myself in velve t underground
So, not easy to be found
Old prairies whisper stories, but they never make a sound
Good and evil they lie here with me, but neither giving ground
This ain't goodbye
I'll stay for a while
